I wanted to update everyone further on what I have been up to nail wise during my quiet time away from the blog...so here are some highlights....

Back To School Part 1

It is that time of the year again where all the little darlings are heading back to school...and the adult darlings too!  As the kids get ready to go back, and my teacher friends are prepping their classrooms, I started some back to school manis this week.  The first one is...

Chalkboard Nails!!

I started with a base of Julep's Laura and a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen.  I had to wrack my brain to remember items I used to see on a chalkboard as a kid as it has been more than a hot minute since I was in school.  :)  This was topped off with Essie's Matte About You top coat.

Work It!

Afternoon lovelies!  It is time for another star on our red carpet mani cam!  This week features Julep's Billie Jean, which they describe as a fuchsia purple crème.

This polish is really pretty, but dries almost semi- matte.  So I enhanced it more with a matte top coat.

I couldn't stop there.  For some reason I get into moods where I feel odd if I just have great color on my nails.  Which is where I am right now.  So after work today, I stamped these babies with a bubble pattern from Mash plate 43.  I haven't stamped my nails in so long, that I think may need to start playing with that again.  And then I say that about nail tape...and gradients...and glitter...and dotting tools... and plastic wrap....I need to put myself on a schedule!!  :)  I did finish this manicure with another layer of matte top coat so that my stamping doesn't flake off.

It is Foto Friday!

It is casual Friday...so it is casual Foto Friday.  I enjoy snapping random pictures while I am out and about, and that also applies to my nails.  Foto Friday is my random picture sharing experience.  

I was in a matte mood the other day...above is the result!  Polka-dots, stripes, and zebra stripes, OH MY!!  I love Essie's Matte About You.  Fun and subtle was to play with black nail polish.
