ManiCam!

WORK IT!!!!!!!!

Today's catwalk strutter is Barry M's Greenberry.

I can't get enough of this aquamarine color!

Sorry about the band-aid....I can't be trusted with sharp objects.

This is three light coats

And I picked up this little beauty over the weekend. I see others rave over this all the time and have always wanted to try it. Stumbled into a Lush store on Lincoln Road on Miami Beach. Who knew!  This was a little birthday gift to myself.  It smells delicious!!!

Zoya Satins and Cashmeres and the manicam.

A little birdie told me fall was coming.  The kids are back to school.  It is Fashion Week.   Pumpkin everything is everywhere.  And there are fall colors for nail polish came out!  Sounds like Fall to me!
Over the past weekend, I picked up a few of Zoya's Satins and Cashmeres collection.

Zoya Satins and Cashmeres

From left to right:  Sailor [Cashmere]; Flynn [Cashemere], and Claudine [Satin].

Zoya Sailor

Zoya Sailor

This is a beautiful, rich navy blue.  As pictured, it is two thin coats without topcoat.   Zoya describes it as a "rich navy creme", and it truly is.  This is quickly becoming my new favorite blue nail polish; which is saying something as I LOVE blue polish.  Sailor is a creme with depth.  This polish goes on smoothly.

Zoya Flynn

Zoya Flynn

I love anything in a carmel or camel color.  This Zoya does not disappoint.  Zoya calls it a "lush camel brown nude creme."  It is.  As pictured, it is two coats without topcoat.  I like it on my skin tone, which can be tricky with some nudes.  The rich, lush color compliments and both blends in and stands out.

Zoya Claudine

Zoya Claudine

I almost bought this polish on-line during Zoya's back to school sale last month.  I liked it because it looks practically black on-line.  You NEED to see this nail polish in person as it is this beautifully rich metallic smoky gray color polish.  Zoya says, "striking dark meteorite gray metallic."  It is all that and more.  Depending on the light it either picks up more in the gray side of the color wheel, and in other lights it looks more in the black arena.  The smoky color is just beautiful.

I can't say it enough, but these are beautiful fall colors that will transition your summer colors into fall.

It has been awhile....it has been too long...nail polish hasn't really been displayed in its glory due to the lack of red carpet to walk down.....That has changed.  THE MANICAM IS BACK!!!  Not only is it back, but I was playing around with the video feature on Instagram to film the moment.

Zoya Flynn...first attempt.

Zoya Sailor...best one!

Mani Cam with July Julep Box California Coast Collection

MANI CAM TIME!!!!!

Julep's California Collection for July was inspired by the colors of the coast...or as Julep puts it: "inspired by surf, sand, sunsets and the breathtaking natural beauty of the coastline."  I went with my It Girl Profile box this month.  Biggest reason for this choice?  Why, because there was a gorgeous texture polish of course!!

Angela:  A deep sea blue molten
Nadia:  Sun-kissed golden frost
Tracy:  Sparkly ocean blue with a sea salt finish.

I really like Tracy.  It has a great sparkle, fine texture, and just the right amount of glitter to make this girl happy.

Sea Salt Finish

Nadia and Angela are not my particular favorites.  Both of them go on easily in two coats for maximum coverage.  Angela is actually pretty interesting in that when you first paint it on, it almost goes on as a flat black-brown color.  As it dries, the molten blue really pops out of it.   Nadia is a great yellow frost color that does shimmer nicely.  Both are just not colors I naturally gravitate towards.  But just watch, in a month they are going to be my new favorite colors!

Work It! Wednesday with Blue Ombré Reversi.

It is mani cam time on the red carpet!  This week's carpet worthy manicure is my blue ombré manicure with reverse blue ombré dots.

Polishes used: Zoya's Blu, Julep's Claire, Zoya Pixie Dust in Liberty, Essie's Mesmerized, Deborah Lippmann's My Prerogative.

I can't help it...I LOVE how this manicure came out.  I think this combines my three favorite nail items all on one hand: texture nail polish, blue polishes, and dots.  This is topped off with Seche Vite top coat with the exception of my middle finger, which I did not polish.

Work It! Wednesday featuring Julep's Billie Jean

Work It!

Afternoon lovelies!  It is time for another star on our red carpet mani cam!  This week features Julep's Billie Jean, which they describe as a fuchsia purple crème.

matte

This polish is really pretty, but dries almost semi- matte.  So I enhanced it more with a matte top coat.

I couldn't stop there.  For some reason I get into moods where I feel odd if I just have great color on my nails.  Which is where I am right now.  So after work today, I stamped these babies with a bubble pattern from Mash plate 43.  I haven't stamped my nails in so long, that I think may need to start playing with that again.  And then I say that about nail tape...and gradients...and glitter...and dotting tools... and plastic wrap....I need to put myself on a schedule!!  :)  I did finish this manicure with another layer of matte top coat so that my stamping doesn't flake off.

Work It! Wednesday....Galaxy Style

I know some of you must have seen this post coming after my Star Trek nails last Friday.  I had SO much fun with the galaxy nails in that manicure, that I just knew I needed to do a full galaxy mani!!
Galaxy on the red carpet

I can't get enough of these babies!!

I started with two coats of China Glaze's Liquid Leather.

Then, taking a make-up sponge, I sponged on Essie's Trophy Wife.  I tried to place them in different spots on different nails.

In the middle of the blue, I added Zoya's Perrie.

Then Zoya's Blu in the middle of that.

I finished if off with some placed hex glitter and then China Glaze's Fairy Dust.

To infinity.....and beyond!!!!

Work It Wednesday! Julep Denver

Work It! Wednesday featuring Julep's Denver

I love this nail polish....I know, I know.  I seem to say that about all the nail polish I use these days.  It reminds me of something my college roommate said to me when I kept remarking how I loved song after song on a mix tape: "Of course you do.  You made the tape!"  And she was right then and she would be right now if she said it to me.  I buy the polish, so it is natural that I am going to love it!  :)

Denver...Isn't she cute??!?!!

nail polish

I did add a matte top coat to my middle finger just to see what it was like.  This girl looks good matte as well as glossy!  Julep's wen site describes this color as a "seafoam green créme" that is so bright that it pops off my fingers.  It is bright, which I like.

Work It! Wednesday: China Glaze Bump and Grind

Texture

Work It! Wednesday!

Today on the red carpet mani cam, we have a lovely texture nail polish.  Check out China Glaze Bump and Grind from their Texture Collection.

Texture

Texture

Lovely bright pink texture polish that has a light grit to it.  The texture is similar to the Julep Sea Salt finish in that it has a bit of bumpy texture and grit to it, but it is still one dimensional in color.  It is still subtle enough that it won't get annoying for texture on your nails.  I do love me a texture nail polish and I have a feeling this one will become a quick favorite for summer.

Work It Wednesday! With spring daisies and Zoya Kristen.

It's a beautiful day here on the nail red carpet.  Spring is has now officially arrived and is ready to work it.  What better way to embrace it than with daisies!

A bit of colorful flowers featuring Zoya's Kristen.

Nail Art Daisey

I enjoyed painting this manicure.  Zoya is one of my favorite brands because it goes on so easy with great punches of color.  Kristen is a pretty heather gray/blue color.  Two coats more than does the job.  I am looking at this mani....Remember the movie Clueless?  Cher is having one of those moments describing what someone looks like:  "She's a full-on Monet....From far away, it's okay, but up close it is a big old mess."  I am having that same reaction to this manicure.  It is cute and I am happy with it...then I look at it in more detail and it is more an Impressionist painting.  We will look at it more as daisies on a theme.  I haven't been 100% in the past few days, so my desire to pay attention to detail is not really there.  But, it is Work It Wednesday.  So, I am going to WORK IT!!

Work It Wednesday! Starring Julep Shenae

It is Work It Wednesday lovelies!  It is time to walk those pretty little fingers down the red carpet of nails!

As it is a holiday week, it seems like Julep's Shenae would be a perfect spring color to walk to red carpet.  Shenae is from their March 2013 Maven Box.  It is a pastel mint green opalescent with a hint of shimmer.

I like this color.  It only takes 2 coats for complete opacity.  This shimmer is subtle, but pops in sunlight.
